Why is my Kia Rio's engine making a ticking sound?

I recently noticed that my Kia Rio's engine has started to make a ticking sound. It seems to happen more frequently when I'm accelerating. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

It's possible that the ticking sound is due to low oil levels. Check your oil level and top up if necessary.

A

Another possible cause could be a faulty valve or piston. It's best to take it to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis.

B

If you've recently changed your oil, make sure you're using the correct type and viscosity for your Kia Rio.
