Why is my Kia Sorento's engine making a clicking sound?

I've noticed a clicking sound coming from my Kia Sorento's engine. It only happens when the car is idling and goes away when driving. What could be causing this and is it something I should be worried about?

The clicking sound is most likely coming from the valve lifters. This could be due to low oil pressure or trapped air in the lifters. It's important to get this checked out by a mechanic to avoid any potential damage to the engine.

A

It's possible that the clicking sound is coming from a loose or worn pulley or belt. This is a relatively easy fix and should be taken care of as soon as possible to avoid any further damage.

E

If the sound is coming from the top of the engine, it could be a faulty rocker arm or camshaft. This is a more serious issue and should be addressed by a mechanic immediately to prevent any major engine damage.
