A

It is possible that the knocking noise is coming from a faulty piston or connecting rod. It is important to get it checked by a mechanic as soon as possible to prevent further damage to your engine.

Another potential cause could be low engine oil. Check your oil level and make sure it is at the recommended level. If it is low, top it off and see if the noise goes away.

In some cases, dirty or old spark plugs can also cause a knocking noise in the engine. Consider getting them replaced to see if it solves the issue.

N

If the knocking noise is accompanied by a decrease in engine performance and strange vibrations, it could be a sign of a failing crankshaft bearing. This is a serious issue and should be addressed by a professional mechanic immediately.
