Why is my Kia Soul engine making a clicking noise?

I recently purchased a Kia Soul and I've noticed that the engine makes a clicking noise when I start the car. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

It is normal for the Kia Soul engine to make a clicking noise when starting up. This is caused by the fuel injectors opening and closing, and is nothing to worry about.

E

If the clicking noise persists or becomes louder, it could be a sign of a problem with the fuel injectors or the engine valves. It is recommended to take your Kia Soul to a mechanic for further inspection.

D

Regular engine maintenance, including changing the oil and spark plugs, can help prevent the clicking noise from becoming louder. Make sure to follow the recommended maintenance schedule for your Kia Soul.
