Why is my Kia Soul's engine making a ticking noise?

I have noticed that my Kia Soul's engine has been making a ticking noise lately. It only happens when the car is idling or when I accelerate after decelerating. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

This ticking noise could be caused by a few different reasons. It could be due to low oil levels, a faulty timing belt, or even an issue with the lifters. I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic to get it checked out. They will be able to diagnose the issue and give you the best course of action to fix it.

I have experienced a similar issue with my Kia Soul in the past. It turned out to be a faulty lifter issue. I would suggest checking your oil levels and if they are fine, bring your car to a trusted mechanic to check the lifters.

I had the same issue with my Kia Soul and it was due to a worn timing belt. I would recommend getting it replaced at your next scheduled maintenance check or as soon as possible. This will prevent any further damage to your engine.
