Why is my Kia Sportage jerking when accelerating?

I recently purchased a Kia Sportage and noticed that it jerks when I accelerate to higher speeds. This is my first time owning a Kia and I'm not sure if this is normal. Can someone explain why this is happening and if there are any solutions to fix it?

The jerking feeling you are experiencing could be due to a malfunctioning fuel system. It's important to have your fuel injectors, fuel pump, and fuel filter checked to ensure they are working properly. The issue could also be with the transmission, so it's best to have a mechanic take a look at that as well.

I've had the same issue with my Kia Sportage in the past. After doing some research, I found out that it could be caused by a dirty air filter. I would recommend getting the air filter replaced and see if that resolves the jerking.

Another common cause of jerking while accelerating is a faulty spark plug. If the spark plugs are worn or dirty, they can misfire and cause jerking. I suggest getting them replaced and see if that improves the acceleration.
