Why is my Kia Sportage's engine making a clicking noise?

I've noticed that my Kia Sportage's engine is making a clicking noise when I start it up in the morning. What could be causing this and is it something I should be concerned about?

A clicking noise from the engine could be an indication of an issue with the valve lifters. It is important to get this checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible to prevent further damage to your engine.

Another possible cause could be low oil pressure. Check your oil level and if it's low, top it up with the recommended type of oil for your Kia Sportage.

Sometimes, a clicking noise could just be a loose or worn out engine belt. Have a mechanic take a look and replace or tighten the belt if necessary.
