Why is my Kia Sportage's engine making a knocking sound?

I recently purchased a Kia Sportage and I have noticed that the engine makes a knocking sound when I accelerate. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Has anyone else experienced this issue with their Sportage? I would appreciate any advice or insight on how to address this issue.

Hi Alex, congratulations on purchasing the Kia Sportage! The knocking sound you are hearing could be caused by a variety of factors such as low oil levels, worn out spark plugs, or engine problems. I recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection and any necessary repairs.

Hey Alex, I have a Kia Sportage as well and I experienced a similar issue. It turned out to be a loose heat shield, which was an easy fix. However, I suggest getting it checked out by a professional to be on the safe side.

Hi Alex, I have not personally experienced this issue with my Kia Sportage. However, it is always better to err on the side of caution and get it checked out by a mechanic. Don't ignore any unusual sounds or vibrations from your car, as they could indicate a bigger problem.
