Why is my Kia Sportage's engine making a strange clicking noise?

I've noticed that when I start my Kia Sportage, the engine makes a strange clicking noise. It goes away after a few minutes of driving, but it's concerning. What could be causing this and should I be worried?

It's possible that the clicking noise is coming from a faulty valve or lifter. These components can wear out over time and cause clicking sounds when the engine is cold. It's not an immediate cause for concern, but I would recommend getting it checked out by a mechanic to see if it needs to be replaced.

Another possibility is that the clicking noise is a sign of low engine oil. Check your oil levels and make sure they are at the recommended level. If the clicking noise persists, it's best to take it to a mechanic for further inspection.

If you've recently had your oil changed, it's possible that the mechanic used the incorrect oil viscosity. The incorrect oil can cause clicking noises in the engine. Make sure to use the recommended oil for your Kia Sportage and the noise should go away.
