I recently noticed that my Kia Sportage's engine has been making a ticking sound. It only seems to happen when the engine is cold, and it goes away after a few minutes. What could be causing this and should I be concerned?
ReplyIt's not uncommon for engines to make a ticking sound when they're cold. It could be due to the oil not circulating properly yet. As long as the sound goes away after a few minutes and the engine is running smoothly, there's no need to worry.
You may want to check your oil level and make sure it's at the proper level. Low oil can sometimes cause ticking noises in engines. Also, pay attention to any other unusual symptoms or changes in performance.
