Why is my Kia Sportage's fuel economy getting worse?

Recently, I've noticed that my Kia Sportage's fuel economy is not as good as it used to be. I've been driving the car the same way, but it seems to be burning more gas than before. What could be causing this issue?

Hi Mariah, have you had your car's fuel system checked recently? A dirty fuel filter or fuel injectors could be causing decreased fuel efficiency. It's also a good idea to get your Kia Sportage's engine tuned up regularly to keep it running at its best.

Is it possible that you've been driving with low tire pressure? Underinflated tires can cause increased fuel consumption. Be sure to check your tire pressure regularly and keep them properly inflated.

I've also found that my fuel economy decreases when I use a lot of accessories in my car, like the AC or the radio. Try to limit your use of these features and see if it makes a difference.

Have you had any recent changes in your driving habits? Aggressive driving, such as speeding and rapid acceleration, can greatly decrease fuel efficiency. Try to maintain a steady speed and accelerate slowly to see if that improves your gas mileage.
