Why is the 2021 Kia ProCeed's fuel efficiency lower than previous models?

I recently purchased a 2021 Kia ProCeed and have noticed that its fuel efficiency is not as good as previous models. I'm wondering if there was a change in the engine or something else that could be causing this decrease in efficiency. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Samantha, there are a few possible reasons for this decrease in fuel efficiency. First, it could be due to the fact that the 2021 ProCeed has a larger and more powerful engine compared to previous models. This means it will use more fuel to run. Another factor could be your driving habits. Make sure you are not accelerating too quickly and try to maintain a steady speed on the highway. Also, check your tire pressure regularly as under-inflated tires can greatly impact fuel efficiency. Hope this helps!

Hey Samantha, I also have a 2021 Kia ProCeed and have noticed the same issue with fuel efficiency. One thing I've found is that using premium fuel can improve the car's performance and efficiency. It may cost a bit more, but it could be worth it in the long run. Another thing to keep in mind is the type of driving you do. More city driving can lead to lower fuel efficiency compared to highway driving. Keep an eye on your driving habits and try to plan your routes to avoid heavy traffic. Best of luck!

Hi Samantha, great question! As a proud owner of a 2021 Kia ProCeed myself, I can understand your concern about the fuel efficiency. One thing to consider is that the new ProCeed has a sportier design and improved performance, which may cause it to use more fuel. Additionally, make sure you are doing regular maintenance on your car, such as oil changes and air filter replacements, as this can also impact fuel efficiency. Keep track of your fuel usage and compare it to the car's advertised efficiency to see if there are any significant discrepancies. Take care!
