Why is the fuel economy of my Kia ProCeed decreasing?

I have noticed that the fuel economy of my Kia ProCeed has been decreasing over the past few months. I used to get around 30 mpg, but now I am only getting around 25 mpg. What could be causing this and what can I do to improve it?

It is common for the fuel economy of a car to decrease over time, especially if you have been driving it for a few years. However, there are a few things you can do to improve it. First, make sure your tires are properly inflated. Underinflated tires can greatly decrease your fuel efficiency. Also, make sure you are following the recommended maintenance schedule for your Kia ProCeed. Regular oil changes and tune-ups can help improve fuel economy. Lastly, try to minimize your idling time and avoid aggressive driving.

Another factor that can affect your fuel economy is the quality of fuel you are using. Make sure you are using high-quality fuel with the recommended octane level for your Kia ProCeed. Using cheap or low octane fuel can decrease your fuel efficiency. Additionally, check your air filter. A dirty air filter can restrict airflow and decrease fuel economy. Replace it if it is dirty.

In some cases, a decrease in fuel economy can also be caused by a malfunctioning sensor or issue with the engine. If you have tried all the above suggestions and are still experiencing a decrease in fuel efficiency, it may be best to take your Kia ProCeed to a mechanic for a diagnostic check.
