Why is the Kia Ceed making a clicking noise when turning?

Recently my Kia Ceed has been making a clicking noise whenever I turn the steering wheel. It seems to be coming from the front of the car. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Hi Samantha, it sounds like you may have a problem with your CV joints. These are responsible for transferring power from your engine to the wheels and can make noise when they are worn out or damaged. It's important to get this checked by a mechanic as soon as possible as driving with faulty CV joints can cause further damage to your car.

Hi Samantha, another possible cause of the clicking noise could be worn out suspension components. These include things like ball joints and tie rod ends. These are essential for the stability and handling of your car, so it's important to get them checked and replaced if necessary.

Hi Samantha, have you recently changed your tires? If not, it's possible that you have a tire with a bulge or uneven tread, which can cause clicking noises when turning. Make sure to check your tires for any signs of damage and replace them if necessary.

Hi Samantha, sometimes a clicking noise when turning can be caused by low power steering fluid. Check your fluid levels and top up if needed. If the problem persists, it's best to have a mechanic take a look as it could be a sign of a larger issue.
