How do I change the air filter in a Kia Ceed?

I recently bought a used Kia Ceed and I'm wondering how to change the air filter myself. I don't have much experience with car maintenance, but I'm good at following instructions. Can someone explain the process to me?

Hi Sarah, changing the air filter in a Kia Ceed is actually quite simple. First, you'll need to locate the air filter housing, which is usually a black box on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Open the housing and remove the old filter, making sure to clean out any debris or dirt in the housing. Then, simply insert the new filter, making sure it's aligned correctly, and close the housing. It's recommended to change your air filter every 12,000 to 15,000 miles for optimal engine performance.

Hey Sarah, I've changed the air filter in my Kia Ceed multiple times and it's definitely doable for someone with no experience. Just make sure to follow the instructions in your car's manual and take your time. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help if you get stuck.

Hi Sarah, in addition to changing the air filter, I highly recommend checking and replacing your engine's cabin air filter as well. It's usually located behind the glove box and is responsible for filtering the air that comes through your car's vents. This can improve the air quality inside your car and make your driving experience much more pleasant.
