How do I change the headlight on a Kia Sportage?

I noticed that my headlight on my Kia Sportage is burned out and needs to be replaced. How can I safely change the headlight without damaging any other parts of the vehicle?

First, make sure your Kia Sportage is turned off and the keys are removed from the ignition. Then, locate the back of the headlight assembly under the hood.

Next, remove the cover or protective cap on the back of the headlight assembly. This may require twisting or unclipping it.

Once the cover is off, you should see the headlight bulb and wires. Carefully detach the wires from the back of the bulb.

Now, remove the old bulb by twisting and pulling it out. Then, insert the new headlight bulb in the same manner.

Finally, reattach the wires and replace the cover. Test the new headlight to make sure it's working properly before hitting the road.
