How do I know if my Kia Ceed needs an oil change?

I have been driving my Kia Ceed for about a year now and I am wondering if it is time to change its oil. I have noticed some strange noises coming from the engine and I want to make sure I am taking proper care of my car. Can anyone provide some insight on how to determine when it is time for an oil change?

A good rule of thumb is to have your oil changed every 5,000 to 7,000 miles. However, it is always best to refer to your car's owner manual for specific recommendations.

If you have been driving in harsh conditions such as extreme heat or cold, it may be necessary to change your oil more frequently. Keep an eye on your car's oil level and color, if it looks dark and dirty, it is definitely time for a change.

It is also important to consider the type of oil you are using in your car. Higher quality oils may last longer and provide better engine protection.
