I recently purchased a Kia ProCeed and want to make sure I am properly maintaining it. Can someone explain the process of checking the oil level and what to do if it is low?
ReplyTo check the oil level in your Kia ProCeed, first make sure the car is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off. Locate the dipstick, which is usually labeled with a bright handle and is found near the engine. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a cloth. Then, reinsert it fully and pull it out again to see where the oil level falls on the dipstick. If it is below the lower mark, you will need to add more oil. It is important to use the correct type of oil recommended by Kia and not overfill.
If the oil level is low, you will need to add more. Make sure to use the recommended type of oil and add small amounts at a time, checking the level frequently. Pouring in too much oil can cause damage to the engine.
