To reset the tire pressure monitoring system on your Kia Sportage, start by parking the car and turning off the engine. Then, press and hold the TPMS reset button located on the driver's side dashboard for 3 seconds. The TPMS warning light should turn off. If it doesn't, try driving the car for a few minutes and it should reset automatically.

Another option is to check the tire pressure on all of your tires and make sure they are inflated to the recommended PSI. If the pressure is too low, fill them up and the TPMS light should turn off. However, if the pressure is fine, it's possible that there is an issue with the TPMS sensor and you may need to bring your car to a dealership for further inspection.

In my experience, the TPMS light can also be triggered by changes in temperature. If you recently had a drastic change in temperature, such as going from hot weather to cold weather or vice versa, the TPMS light may come on. If this is the case, check your tire pressure and reset the system as mentioned in the first answer.
