How do I reset the TPMS on my Kia Rio?

I recently had my tires changed on my Kia Rio and now the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) light won't turn off. How do I reset it?

To reset the TPMS on your Kia Rio, start by making sure all tires are properly inflated to the recommended pressure. Then, press and hold the TPMS reset button located under the steering wheel for about 3 seconds. The TPMS light should flash, indicating that the system is reset. If the light continues to stay on after driving for a few minutes, there may be an issue with one of the sensors or the TPMS system itself. In this case, it's best to bring your car to a Kia dealership for further diagnosis.

First, check the owner's manual for specific instructions on how to reset the TPMS on your Kia Rio. If that doesn't work, you can try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it to reset the system. If the TPMS light still won't turn off, take your car to a mechanic to have them inspect the sensors and the TPMS module.

I had this same issue with my Kia Rio and found that sometimes the TPMS light just needs to be manually turned off. To do this, turn the car ignition to 'on' but do not start the engine. Then, press and hold the TPMS button for about 10 seconds until the light turns off. If this doesn't work, try checking the tire pressure again and resetting the system.
