How to reset the service light on a Kia Ceed?

I have a Kia Ceed and the service light has been on for a while now. I'm not sure how to reset it or if I can do it myself. Can anyone provide me with the steps to reset the service light and save me a trip to the dealership?

Hi Samantha, resetting the service light on a Kia Ceed is a simple process and you can definitely do it on your own. First, locate the reset button in the instrument cluster. Then, turn the car on without starting the engine. Hold down the reset button until the display shows a countdown. Once the countdown is complete, the service light should be reset. Remember to check your owner's manual for detailed instructions specific to your car model. Hope this helps!

Hey Samantha, I had the same issue with my Kia Ceed and I was able to reset the service light by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. However, I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic to get it properly serviced. Ignoring the service light might lead to bigger problems in the future. Take care!

Hi Samantha, the service light on a Kia Ceed can be easily reset using a diagnostic tool. If you don't have one, you can borrow or rent one from a mechanic or an auto parts store. Again, don't neglect regular servicing of your car as it can save you a lot of money in the long run. Good luck!
