Should I use synthetic or conventional oil in my Kia Sportage?

I recently purchased a Kia Sportage and I'm not sure which type of oil to use. I've heard conflicting opinions on whether synthetic or conventional oil is better for my car. Can someone offer some advice on which type of oil would be best for my Kia Sportage?

Hi Jack, congratulations on your new Kia Sportage! In general, synthetic oil is recommended for newer cars as it provides better engine protection and longer oil change intervals. However, if your Kia Sportage has a higher mileage or is prone to oil leaks, conventional oil may be a better choice.

Hi Jack, as a mechanic, I often recommend synthetic oil for all cars, including the Kia Sportage. It offers better protection against wear and tear, especially in extreme temperatures. Plus, with synthetic oil, you won't have to change your oil as frequently as with conventional oil.

Hi Jack, I've been using conventional oil in my Kia Sportage for years and haven't had any issues. It's more affordable and easily accessible, making oil changes quicker and more convenient. Just make sure to follow the recommended oil change intervals in your owner's manual.
