For a Kia Rio, it is recommended to use a synthetic blend 5W-30 oil. This type of oil provides better protection and performance for your engine. As for how often to change it, it is recommended to follow your vehicle's maintenance schedule, which is typically every 5,000-7,500 miles.

I've been using full synthetic 5W-30 oil for my Kia Rio and have had no issues. I would recommend sticking with that type of oil and changing it every 5,000 miles.

I've found that using a high mileage 5W-30 oil has helped with the longevity of my Kia Rio's engine. So far, I've been changing it every 6,000 miles.

As a mechanic, I recommend sticking with the type of oil recommended by the manufacturer. For a Kia Rio, that would be a synthetic blend 5W-30. However, if you do a lot of stop-and-go driving or have an older model, a high mileage oil may be beneficial.

I've found that using a synthetic oil with a higher viscosity, like 10W-30, has helped improve the performance of my Kia Rio. I would recommend giving it a try and changing it every 6,000 miles.
