What is the best type of transmission for the Kia Sorento?

I am trying to decide between a traditional manual transmission and an automatic transmission for a Kia Sorento. Which one would be more reliable and offer better performance?

I have been a mechanic for over 10 years and have worked on numerous Kia Sorentos. From my experience, I highly recommend going with an automatic transmission. They tend to have less maintenance issues and offer smoother shifts.

My brother owns a Kia Sorento with a manual transmission and he has had nothing but problems with it. Save yourself the headache and go with an automatic.

I personally prefer manual transmissions for the control it gives me on the road. However, if you are not used to driving a manual, I would suggest going with an automatic for ease of use.
