I've been reading about the DCT gearbox in the Kia Ceed and I'm still not sure what it actually does. Can someone explain it to me in detail?
ReplyThe DCT gearbox, also known as a dual-clutch transmission, is a type of automatic gearbox that uses two separate clutches for odd and even gears. This allows for smoother and faster gear changes, as one clutch is always engaged while the other is disengaged. This results in a better driving experience.
The DCT gearbox is great for city driving as it provides seamless acceleration and reduces the amount of gear shifting needed. It's also great for manual gear enthusiasts as it allows for quick and precise gear changes without the hassle of a traditional manual gearbox.
