Which engine type is more suitable for Kia ProCeed's performance?

I am considering purchasing a Kia ProCeed and I am struggling to decide between the 1.4 T-GDi and 1.6 CRDi engines. I am looking for the best performance without compromising on fuel efficiency. Which engine type would you recommend?
