Why does my Kia Sorento's engine make a ticking noise?

I just bought a Kia Sorento and I noticed that the engine makes a ticking noise whenever I start it. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

It is normal for your Kia Sorento's engine to make a ticking noise when it is first started. This is due to the hydraulic lifters adjusting and providing proper lubrication to the engine. However, if the noise continues for more than a few seconds or if it becomes louder, it could be a sign of an issue and you should have it checked by a mechanic.

I had the same issue with my Kia Sorento and I was worried about it at first. But after doing some research, I found out that it is a common issue and nothing to be concerned about. However, if the ticking noise becomes more noticeable or if the engine starts to run rough, then it could be a sign of a problem.

I've been driving my Kia Sorento for a few years now and I can say that the ticking noise is normal. However, it is always good to monitor it and have your engine checked if you notice any changes in the noise. Better safe than sorry.
