Why does my Kia Stonic jerk when changing gears?

I recently bought a Kia Stonic and I've noticed that it jerks when changing gears. Is this a common issue with this model? What could be causing this and is there anything I can do to fix it?

Hi Jack, it's not uncommon for the Kia Stonic to have jerking issues when changing gears. It could be caused by a dirty or faulty transmission fluid, a clogged fuel filter, or worn out spark plugs. I would recommend getting your car inspected by a certified mechanic to determine the exact cause and get it fixed for a smoother driving experience.

Hey Jack, I've had the same issue with my Kia Stonic and it turned out to be a faulty transmission control module. I would suggest getting that checked out and replaced if needed.

Hello Jack, the jerking could also be caused by a problem with the throttle position sensor. I would advise getting it checked and potentially replaced to resolve the issue.
