Why does my Kia Stonic's engine make a loud rattling noise?

I've noticed that my Kia Stonic's engine makes a loud rattling noise when I start it up in the morning. It goes away after a few minutes, but it's really concerning. Anyone know what could be causing this?

It's likely that your engine is experiencing a timing chain tensioner issue. It's a common problem with the Kia Stonic and can lead to more serious engine damage if not addressed. I would recommend taking it to a mechanic for a diagnosis and repair.

I had the same issue with my Kia Stonic and it turned out to be a faulty exhaust heat shield. It's an easy and inexpensive fix, so I would suggest getting that checked out first before looking into more serious engine issues.

Try checking your oil levels and make sure they are at the correct level. Low oil levels can also cause rattling noises in the engine. If that doesn't solve the issue, it's best to take it to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis.
