Why is my Kia Niro's hybrid battery not holding charge?

I have a 2019 Kia Niro and ever since I got it, the hybrid battery has not been holding charge as long as it used to. I always make sure to fully charge it and it used to last for about 50 miles, but now it only lasts for about 30 miles. Is there something wrong with my battery?

Hi Sarah, it is common for hybrid batteries to lose their charge holding capacity over time. However, if you have noticed a sudden decrease in the battery's performance, it might be worth getting it checked by a mechanic or bringing it to the dealership for a diagnostic test.

Hi Sarah, check your user manual or consult with a certified Kia technician to see if your specific model has a hybrid battery warranty. If it does, you may be able to get it replaced for free if it is deemed faulty.

Hey Sarah, have you recently installed any new accessories or made any changes to your driving habits? These can also affect the battery's performance. Make sure to only use accessories that are compatible with your hybrid system and try to avoid excessive braking and speeding to preserve the battery's charge.
