Why is my Kia Picanto constantly overheating?

I recently purchased a Kia Picanto and have noticed that the temperature gauge keeps going up while I'm driving. What could be causing this and what should I do?

First, check your coolant levels. If they are low, then you may have a leak in your coolant system. Next, check the radiator and make sure it is not clogged with debris.
