Why is my Kia Picanto making a strange noise when I turn the wheel?

I recently purchased a Kia Picanto and have noticed that whenever I turn the steering wheel, there is a strange noise coming from the front of the car. It almost sounds like a grinding noise. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Hi Samantha, it sounds like the noise could be coming from the power steering system. It's important to have this checked out as soon as possible. I recommend taking your Kia Picanto to a trusted mechanic who can diagnose and fix the issue for you.

Samantha, I experienced the same issue with my Kia Picanto and it turned out to be a problem with the tie rod ends. I took it in to my regular mechanic and they were able to replace the parts and the noise was gone. Consider taking it in for a second opinion if you're not satisfied with the first diagnosis.

Hey Samantha, this could also be caused by worn out wheel bearings. I recommend having a mechanic take a look at them and replace if necessary. Driving with worn bearings can be dangerous and can cause further damage to your vehicle.
