Why is my Kia Picanto's engine making a knocking noise?

I have noticed that my Kia Picanto's engine is making a knocking noise when I accelerate. It's been happening for a few days now and I'm worried it could be a sign of a bigger problem. Can anyone shed some light on what could be causing this and what I should do?

Hi Samantha, the knocking noise from your Kia Picanto's engine could be caused by a number of things. It could be a sign of low oil levels, worn out spark plugs, or even an issue with the fuel injectors. It's best to take your car to a mechanic to get it checked out as soon as possible.

Hey Samantha, I had a similar issue with my Kia Picanto in the past and it turned out to be a problem with the timing belt. It's important to get this checked out and replaced if necessary, as a damaged timing belt can cause serious damage to your engine.

Hi there, I work at a Kia dealership and have seen this issue before. It could be something as simple as a loose heat shield or engine mount. I recommend taking your car to a certified Kia technician for a thorough inspection.
