I have a Kia Rio with about 50,000 miles on it. Recently, I’ve noticed that the engine has started to make a strange noise when I accelerate. It almost sounds like a whining or grinding noise. What could be causing this and is it something I should be worried about?
ReplyIt’s possible that the noise is coming from worn out bearings in the engine. This could be a sign that your engine is in need of some maintenance. I recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to have it checked out.
Another possible cause could be a loose or damaged belt. I suggest checking the belts under the hood to see if any of them are worn or need to be tightened. If you’re not comfortable doing this yourself, bring your car to a mechanic who can handle the job for you.
