It is possible that there could be an issue with the fuel pump or fuel filter. These components are responsible for delivering fuel to the engine and if they are clogged or malfunctioning, it could cause the engine to stall.

Another possible cause for engine stalling in a Kia Rio could be a problem with the ignition system. Faulty spark plugs or a failing ignition coil can lead to inconsistent engine performance and potentially cause stalling.

I would recommend checking the air filter as well. A dirty or clogged air filter can restrict the flow of air to the engine and affect its performance. Try replacing the air filter and see if that makes a difference.

It could also be an issue with the engine's sensors. A faulty crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor can cause the engine to stall. I suggest getting these sensors checked and replaced if necessary.
