The clicking noise could be due to several reasons such as low oil level, dirty oil or a faulty valve. It's best to take your Sportage to a mechanic to diagnose the issue and make any necessary repairs.

If the noise is more like a ticking noise, it could be due to a loose timing belt. This is a serious issue and should be addressed immediately by a certified mechanic.

D

In some cases, the clicking noise could be caused by a failing alternator. If your Sportage's battery light is on, it's possible that the alternator is the culprit. Get it checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible.

E

One lesser known cause of engine clicking noise is a cracked or broken spark plug. If this is the case, it's important to replace the spark plug as soon as possible to avoid further damage to your engine.

It's always best to err on the side of caution and get your Kia Sportage checked out if you notice any unusual noises. It could be a minor issue or a more serious one, but it's always better to catch and fix it early on.
