Why is my Kia Sportage's steering wheel vibrating at high speeds?

I have recently noticed that when I am driving at high speeds (above 60mph), the steering wheel in my Kia Sportage starts to vibrate. It's not a violent shake, but it is noticeable and can be uncomfortable. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Most likely, this vibration is caused by an unbalanced or misaligned wheel. Take your car to a reputable mechanic and have them check the balance and alignment of your tires. This is a relatively easy fix and should resolve the issue.

Another possible cause of the vibrating steering wheel could be worn or damaged suspension components. This is a more serious issue and should be checked by a mechanic as soon as possible to avoid any further damage to your car.

If neither of those solutions fix the problem, it could be a sign of an issue with your brake system. Make sure to have your brakes checked as well, just to be safe.
