There could be a few different reasons for this knocking sound. It could be an issue with the spark plugs, a problem with the fuel injector, or even just low quality fuel. My advice would be to take your car to a mechanic to get it checked out. They will be able to diagnose the problem and give you a recommended course of action.

I had the same issue with my Kia Rio and it turned out to be a faulty valve in the engine. My mechanic replaced it and the knocking sound disappeared. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to get it checked out.

One thing you can check yourself is the oil level in your engine. Low oil levels can sometimes cause knocking sounds. If your oil level is low, make sure to top it up with the recommended type of oil for your Kia Rio.
