How do I reset the service light on my Kia Ceed?

I recently purchased a Kia Ceed and the service light has come on. I am not sure how to reset it. Can someone please advise me on the steps to reset the service light?

To reset the service light on your Kia Ceed, first insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the 'on' position. Then, press and hold the trip meter button until the service light starts to blink. Let go of the button and press it again to confirm the reset. The light should turn off and the service interval will be reset.

I had the same issue with my Kia Ceed. I found that disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few minutes helped reset the service light. Just make sure to have your radio code handy.

If you are not comfortable resetting the service light yourself, I suggest taking it to a certified mechanic or your local Kia dealership. They will have the proper equipment and knowledge to reset the light for you.
