How to check the engine oil in a Kia Ceed?

I just bought a Kia Ceed and I want to make sure the engine oil level is correct. How can I check it myself without going to a mechanic?

First, make sure the car has been sitting for at least 15 minutes so the oil has settled. Then, locate the dipstick, which is usually a brightly colored handle near the engine. Pull it out and wipe it clean with a rag. Reinsert it and pull it out again. The oil level should be between the minimum and maximum marks. If it's below the minimum mark, you'll need to add more oil.

If you're not sure where the dipstick is, refer to your car manual for its location. Remember to use the correct type of oil for your engine. And always check the oil level regularly to make sure it's not too low, as it can cause major damage to your engine.

Another way to check the engine oil level is by using the oil level gauge, which is usually located on the dashboard. Refer to your car manual for specific instructions on how to use it. And remember, it's always better to have a little too much oil than not enough. So if you're not sure, it's better to add a little more oil than risk damaging your engine.
