Why is my Kia Sorento making a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I recently purchased a Kia Sorento and have noticed that it makes a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel, especially when going around tight corners. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the car, but it's a bit concerning. What could be causing this clicking noise?

It's possible that there could be a problem with your steering column or a loose connection in your steering system. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to have it looked at as soon as possible. They will be able to diagnose and fix the issue before it potentially gets worse.

Another potential cause of the clicking noise could be worn out or damaged CV joints. This is a common issue with many cars and can usually be fixed by replacing the joints. However, if left untreated, it could lead to more serious problems with your car's drivetrain.

I've experienced a similar clicking noise in my own Kia Sorento and after some research, I found that it could be caused by a faulty intermediate shaft. This is a relatively simple and inexpensive fix that can be done by a mechanic or even yourself if you're handy with car repairs.
